The Vatican Observatory is organizing a seminar on Thursday, February
20 at 6:00 PM at the Steward Observatory at the University of Arizona.
St. Anthony of Padua Foundation - Mardi Gras Dinner
A Mardi Gras themed dinner will be hosted by the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School Foundation on Saturday, March 1, 2014, with the social hour / cocktails starting at 5:00 pm and dinner being served at 6:30 pm, at the St. Anthony of Padua Community Center. This year’s dinner consists of a Big Easy salad, deconstructed jambalaya, seared voodoo chicken with Louisiana shrimp and Andouille sausage, and is being prepared by Chef Brian Lawler, a chef in the Valley. A dessert consisting of cheesecake with bananas foster is being prepared by Mary Ann Hemmings. A jazz band will perform during the happy hour and music jazz/blue grass music will be featured throughout the evening. Street performers will also be featured during the social hour. There will be a live and silent auction. All are welcome to attend. Tickets are $50.00 per person. A table for eight is $400.00. Casual dress or Mardi Gras costume (prize for best costume).

Date: March 4th (day before Ash Wednesday) Bus departs from St. Anthony’s at 8:00 A.M. returns around 4:00 P.M.
Cost $100.00 per ticket (we expect 75% of this to go directly to the Youth Ministry).
